Animated Gradient Backgrounds

Animated gradient backgrounds rendered in WebGL: soft folds of colour, glass light, iridescent metal and lit dot grids. Each one opens in a live editor where you change the motion and palette, then export it as code instead of a video file.

What is inside

Stripe Gradient forms broad flowing folds of colour, and Shader R blends light and dark fields with an orange accent and film grain. Halo Drift spreads glass light across the canvas in a six second loop. Gradient Dots lights a regular dot grid with moving colour fields. Iridescent Flow, Iridescent Petal, Floating Glass, Color Eclipse and Phosphor Flow are richer studies in liquid metal, petals, glass sheets, ribbons and volumetric light.

02

Tune it in the editor

Every background exposes its own controls. All of them adjust speed, scale and exposure, and each has palette or colour controls so the gradient can match your brand. Stripe Gradient adds flow depth, softness, angle and four editable colours. Gradient Dots adds dot spacing, dot radius, shimmer, hue, saturation and brightness.

03

Exports

Export a background as a self contained HTML file or as a Svelte or React component. The animation is drawn by code in the browser, so there is no video file to host and the gradient stays sharp at any size.

04

Behind text

Slow the motion and lower the glow when a headline sits on top, and check contrast at the brightest moment of the loop, not only the first frame. Keep the animated area to the hero or one section rather than the whole page, and pause it for visitors who ask for reduced motion.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Still unsure? Write to support@horizonx.so.

What is an animated gradient background?

It is a background whose colours move and blend over time. These are drawn live in WebGL, so they can run behind a hero section without a video file.

Can I change the colours?

Yes. Every background here has palette or colour controls in the editor, along with speed and scale, before you export it.

Will it slow my page down?

A single WebGL background is usually light, but test it on a phone. Keep it to one section, lower the resolution or speed if needed and pause it when it scrolls out of view.

Tune a gradient for your page

Every HorizonX shader opens in a live editor where speed, scale and colours stay adjustable before you export the code.
