Phosphor Flow is a luminous volumetric WebGL field with evolving folds, dark cavities and soft rays in graphite, silver and white. Use it as an atmospheric hero background or a slow ambient panel. Zoom sets the scale of the field, glow intensity controls how brightly the folds light up, and flow speed and timeline offset set the motion. The palette is editable, and the live editor and the code exports share one original renderer.
How this shader works
Phosphor Flow is a glowing, volume-like field of evolving folds, dark cavities and soft rays in graphite, silver and white. It suits an atmospheric hero background or a slow ambient panel. The panel is short: Zoom sets the scale of the field, Glow intensity sets how brightly the folds light up, and three colours set the background, the folds and the highlights.
Tips
- Zoom in to show a few large folds, or zoom out for a busier field.
- Lower Glow intensity when the field sits behind text.
- Flow speed sets how fast the folds change. Slow values work best for ambient panels.
- Tint Silver folds and White highlights for a coloured version, such as soft green.
Questions
How do I make an animated smoke or fog background?
Open Phosphor Flow and lower Flow speed for a slow, smoky drift. Use Zoom to set the size of the folds, then export it as HTML, React or Svelte code.
Can I change the colours?
Yes. Graphite background, Silver folds and White highlights are all editable in the Colors section.
