Halo Drift is the light from the HorizonX Glow component without the mark, spread across the whole canvas like light drifting through glass. Over a seamless six-second loop broad white highlights roll in and out, cool blue edges and warm amber passages cross the frame and dark pauses sit between them. Adjust light speed, zoom and focus, exposure, highlight roll-off, saturation, vignette, grain and timeline offset. No images or video load: the light is a compact spectral model fitted to a reference recording and embedded in the code and evaluated every frame. The live editor and the HTML, React and Svelte exports share one renderer.
How this shader works
Halo Drift fills the whole canvas with soft light drifting through glass. Over a six-second loop, broad white highlights roll in and out, cool blue edges and warm amber passages cross the frame, and dark pauses sit between them. No image or video is loaded: the light is calculated in code every frame. The Look section frames and grades the light, and the Motion section sets its speed and where the loop starts.
Tips
- Zoom with Focus X and Focus Y moves the camera into one part of the light. Zoom in to keep only a single soft highlight.
- Lower Exposure or raise Vignette when the light sits behind a headline.
- Highlight roll-off softens the brightest whites so they do not clip.
- Timeline offset picks the moment of the loop you start on, useful for a still frame.
Questions
How do I add a soft glowing light background to a website?
Open Halo Drift, set the light speed and framing in the panel, then export it. The editor exports it as a self-contained HTML file or as a React or Svelte component, so you can place it behind a hero section.
Does Halo Drift loop without a visible jump?
Yes. The light runs on a six-second loop that joins up with itself, so it can play continuously.
