An original generated dog portrait with soft focus, deep shadows and fine irregular film grain. Replace the source or tune grain, focus, gamma and ink colours.
How this texture works
Silver Hound gives your image a soft monochrome look with fine, irregular film grain. Dither style is Film grain with the smallest pixel size, so the grain reads like silver in a print rather than a pattern. Soft focus softens the picture before the grain is applied, and the ink is black on a light paper tone. The default picture is a shepherd dog portrait, and it works well on any calm photo.
Tips
- Soft focus sets how dreamy the picture looks. Lower it for a sharper print.
- Film grain amount controls how visible the grain is.
- Gamma adjusts the depth of the shadows. Raise it for a darker, moodier portrait.
- Try a warm Background such as cream for an older print feel.
Questions
How do I make a black and white film look for a pet portrait?
Load your photo into the Image slot. This preset converts it to black ink with fine grain and a slight soft focus. Adjust Film grain amount and Soft focus until it looks like the print you want.
Can I make the grain coarser?
Yes. Raise Dither pixel size and the grain gets larger and more visible.
