An active silver-and-gold foil treatment with fine directional light streaks. Highlights and crests follow your own image or video, rather than being baked into the default artwork. Edit texture strength, shard density, glow, flow direction and streak length. The free stock ocean sample is by İremnur ÖZTÜRK on Pexels (photo 33262065).
How this texture works
Luminous Surge turns your image or video into silver and gold liquid light. Reflective shards gather on the crests and highlights of the picture, and fine feathered streaks run across them in one direction. With Image influence at 100, every shard and streak follows your own picture rather than a fixed artwork. The Liquid light section shapes the shards and glow, and the Prism section sets the streaks and the direction they flow.
Tips
- Flow angle turns the direction of the light streaks. Match it to the movement in your picture, such as a wave or a sweep of fabric.
- Streak length and Light streaks set how long and how strong the feathered streaks are.
- Shard density controls how many reflective shards appear. Lower it for a calmer, more liquid surface.
- Spectrum spread is kept low here for a two-metal look. Raise it to bring rainbow colours into the foil.
Questions
How do I make a liquid gold effect on a video?
Load your video into the Image or video slot. The gold and silver light forms on its brightest moving areas, so footage with clear highlights, such as water or fabric, works best. Turn Animate light on if you also want the shards to shimmer.
How do I change the gold to another colour?
Move Hue in the Color section. Lower Saturation for a plain silver finish.
