Generate woven gold cloth with deep flowing folds, bronze shadows and silver glints. Shape thread count, thickness, weave angle, fold depth and metallic light. The material is generated live without a reference photograph. The default desert photograph is by Stephen Leonardi / Pexels. Replace it with your own image or video, or set Image influence to zero for an independent surface.
How this texture works
Gilded Weave generates a crumpled cloth of interlaced gold threads with bronze shadows and silver highlights. The weave is drawn by the editor, not taken from a photograph, and your image or video bends it: with Image influence at 100, the folds and light follow the picture underneath. Set Image influence to 0 and you get a plain gold fabric that does not depend on any image. The Woven surface section controls the threads and folds.
Tips
- Thread count sets how fine the weave is. Lower values show large, readable threads; higher values read as smooth metal cloth.
- Fold depth controls how crumpled the fabric looks. Turn it down for a flat, tight weave.
- Weave angle rotates the thread pattern, and Weave ratio changes how the threads cross.
- Hue moves the metal away from gold. Lower Saturation for silver or pewter cloth.
Questions
How do I make a gold fabric texture?
Open this preset and adjust Thread count, Thread thickness and Fold depth until the cloth has the scale you need. Set Image influence to 0 if you want the fabric alone, without the shape of the sample photo.
Can the gold cloth move?
Yes. Set Animate folds to on and the fabric drifts. Motion rate controls the speed.
