An original diffraction texture: every cell earns its glint from the luminance underneath, so highlights carry dense glitter and shadows stay near-black. A ruled grating bands the field with a sheen and splits the tint across the spectrum. Edit density, grating, hue spread and sparkle live; swap in your own image or video.
How this texture works
Prism Dust scatters iridescent foil glints across your image or video. Each glint takes its strength from the brightness underneath, so highlights get dense glitter and shadows stay close to black. A ruled grating crosses the field with bands of sheen and splits the colour across a spectrum of cyan and teal. The photo itself is not shown, only the glints on a dark teal Ground, and they sparkle by default.
Tips
- Density sets how many glints there are. This preset keeps it low so single sparkles stay distinct.
- Pitch and Angle shape the grating bands. Small Pitch values give fine rainbow lines; larger values give broad stripes.
- Hue picks the main colour of the foil and Spectrum spread sets how much it shifts across the rainbow.
- Surface style switches to the other foil looks, such as veil or liquid, while keeping your image.
Questions
How do I make a holographic foil effect?
Load your image or video and the editor places glints where it is bright. Adjust Density for the amount of glitter and Spectrum spread for how much the colour shifts. A picture with clear highlights gives the strongest foil.
Can I see my photo under the glitter?
Yes. Raise Photo underlay and the original picture appears beneath the glints.
