A reusable image-processing effect, not a pre-rendered radiograph. Convert your own images or video into monochrome luminance and contour scans. Balance contour detail, tonal body and character opacity; optionally add neutral decorative scan regions and editable labels. The complete source is contained within a fixed 1920 × 1080 frame with 1080p default export. SVG embeds the processed scan beneath editable glyphs and annotations. This effect does not infer hidden anatomy or detect objects.
How this texture works
Nectar Scan converts your image or video into a monochrome scan. Scan treatment is set to monochrome, so the picture becomes glowing contours and soft tonal shading on a near-black Scan background, with a faint layer of ASCII characters over it. Contour detail and Tonal body balance outline against shading, and optional labels and decorative regions add a lab-print feel. It processes the brightness of your picture only; it does not detect objects or show anything hidden.
Tips
- Raise Contour detail for sharper, more drawn edges, or lower it for a softer, photographic scan.
- Tonal body controls how much shading fills the shapes between the contours.
- Character opacity is low here so the characters read as texture. Raise it to make the ASCII layer stand out.
- Type your own text into Left label and Right label, or set Scan annotations to 0 to hide the decorative regions.
Questions
How do I make an X-ray style scan from a photo?
Load your picture into the Image slot. This preset already converts it into a monochrome contour scan, so most of the work is balancing Contour detail and Tonal body. Pictures of objects or flowers with clear outlines scan best.
Can I add my own labels to the scan?
Yes. Left label and Right label are text fields in the Scan section. Scan annotations sets how visible the labels and the decorative regions are.
