An original two-plate halftone texture with warm inks and animated print screens. Replace the source image or video, adjust blocks, tone, ink blending and plate movement.
How this texture works
Warm Press turns your image or video into a two-plate print in dark warm inks on cream paper. Screen shape is Blocks, so the picture is built from small square blocks, and Invert tones is on, which places ink in the shadows. The two plates drift slightly against each other by default, like a print run slightly out of register. The Inks section sets the two colours and how they combine.
Tips
- Screen shape switches between Blocks, Round dots, Continuous and Photo. Round dots give a classic halftone.
- Block size sets the size of the print cells.
- Change Ink A, Ink B and Ground to build your own two-colour print, for example pink and blue.
- Set Animate plates to off for a still print, or lower Amount for a subtler drift.
Questions
How do I make a risograph print effect?
Load your picture into the Image or video slot. This preset prints it with two inks on paper. Pick bright Ink A and Ink B colours for a classic risograph feel, and try Additive glow in Ink blending to see the inks mix.
What is the difference between Opaque inks and Additive glow?
Opaque inks lay one colour over the other like paint. Additive glow adds the inks together, so overlaps become brighter.
