Overview
Halovane is a real-time particle hologram for the browser. A glowing projector tube, halo rings and a dot-grid wall frame a figure built entirely from tiny faceted spheres that erupts out of the projector's base, slowly spins and quietly boils with drifting turbulence. Move the cursor through the hologram and the particles are dragged along your stroke, fanned sideways and lit with a lingering glow trail before springing back into shape. Switch between Robot, Wave, Thumbs up, Dance and Orb (or use the arrow keys) and the shell deforms, flies to the new pose and reforms, with a mid-flight glow on the particles that travel furthest. Drop any .glb file onto the page to project your own model. Built with three.js WebGPU and TSL (with an automatic WebGL 2 fallback), bloom and chromatic aberration post-processing, Light and Dark presets, and a live control panel for every material, motion, transition, projector and camera parameter. It honours prefers-reduced-motion. Included: full TypeScript source (Vite), the CC0 robot model, a shape-sampler sanity check, a README covering how to run, customize and deploy, and CREDITS with third-party licenses.
