A luminous horizontal screen texture made from your own image or video. Bright bars, staggered dots and tiny outlined cells respond to the source tones. Adjust cell width and height, tonal thresholds, color and glow; keep the original media replaceable.
How this texture works
Jumbotron turns your image or video into glowing rows of marks, like a stadium screen. Each cell reads the tone under it and picks a mark: bright bars in the highlights, staggered dots in the midtones and small outlined cells in the shadows. Four thresholds in the Tone section decide where one mark changes to the next. Color mode is set to Original, so the marks keep the colours of your picture, with extra saturation and a light glow.
Tips
- Cell size and Cell height set the size of each mark. Wider cells read as a coarse arena screen.
- Move the Highlight, Midtone and Shadow thresholds to choose how much of the picture becomes bars, dots or outlines.
- Set Color mode to Mono and pick an Ink for a single-colour screen.
- Raise Glow strength and Glow blur size for a brighter, more lit screen.
Questions
How do I make an LED screen effect from a video?
Load the video into the Image or video slot. Each frame is drawn as rows of marks that follow its tones. Use Cell size to set how coarse the screen looks and Saturation to strengthen the colours.
What is the difference between Marks and Jumbotron in Screen style?
Marks draws the bars, dots and outlined cells of this preset. Jumbotron switches to a separate block pattern whose rows are sized by Cell height and Block height factor. Both read the same picture, so try each on your own image.
