A code-generated folded surface with copper and blue filaments, dark troughs and pale fans. Adjust speed, phase, scale, twist, spread, fibre density, relief, exposure and palette. Independently reconstructed from a video reference: fold geometry, individual fibres, translucency and motion are approximate, not pixel-perfect. The editor and standalone code exports do not play the reference video.
How this shader works
Silk Current draws a folded surface where copper and blue filaments flow across dark troughs and pale, silk-like fans. It is generated in code, so you can change the shape of the folds, how far the fans open and how many filaments run through them. The light background and the warm copper make it lighter than most dark shader backgrounds.
Tips
- Fold twist sets how much the surface turns. Lower it for long, straight folds.
- Fan spread controls how wide the pale fans open.
- Filament density sets the number of fibres. Lower it for a cleaner surface.
- Change Copper fibers and Blue sheen to swap the two accent colours.
Questions
How do I make a flowing silk background?
Open Silk Current and adjust Fold twist and Fan spread for the shape. Keep Speed low for a gentle motion behind content, then export it as HTML, React or Svelte code.
Can I use a dark background instead of the light one?
Yes. Set Background to a dark colour in the Colors section. You may want lighter Deep folds so the folds stay visible.
