Neural Noise Cursor is an interactive WebGL background built from thin, glowing noise filaments. Use it for a technology landing page or a pointer-responsive section. Noise scale changes the size of the pattern; glow intensity and edge fade control its contrast. Pointer influence and radius set how strongly the field reacts to movement, while scroll colour shift blends in a second highlight. Set pointer influence to zero for motion that does not follow the cursor.
How this shader works
Neural Noise Cursor draws thin, glowing green filaments drifting through a deep field and bending around the pointer. It suits a technology landing page or a section that should respond to the visitor. Noise scale changes the size of the pattern, Glow intensity and Edge fade control contrast, and Pointer influence and Pointer radius set how strongly the field reacts to movement.
Tips
- Set Pointer influence to 0 for motion that does not follow the cursor.
- Scroll colour shift blends in Scroll highlight as the page scrolls. Set it to 0 to keep one colour.
- Raise Noise scale for a finer, busier pattern.
- Change Filament green and Background to move away from the green palette.
Questions
How do I make a background that reacts to the mouse?
Open Neural Noise Cursor and set Pointer influence and Pointer radius for how strongly and how widely the filaments bend. Export it as an HTML file or a React or Svelte component.
Can I make it blue instead of green?
Yes. Change Filament green, Scroll highlight and Background in the Colors section.
