Overview
QUILL is an industry design system for AI-assisted code editors and developer writing tools: product launch and download pages, pricing and edition comparisons, changelogs and release notes, docs landings and conference decks. It sets regular-weight Libre Franklin headlines with tracking that tightens as size grows, Crimson Pro for prose and margin notes, and Red Hat Mono for metadata, on a warm Vellum / Quire / Deckle paper palette with Iron Gall ink. A single Rubric orange is reserved for links and one italic phrase per headline, never a fill; primary actions are ink. Corners are a sharp 4px, edges are hairline rules, raised paper gets a soft warm shadow, and diffs are shown as a manuscript: struck lines in Graphite, added lines on a Verdigris rule, Gloss notes in the margin. The imagery language has Hero, Material and Detail photo roles built around a fictional editor called Palimpsest. Included: foundations (color, type, spacing, imagery, patterns), components (buttons, tags and badges, cards and plans, editor window with marginalia, forms, navigation, feedback, table, dialog), theme sheet, Palimpsest product landing starter, 16:9 launch deck, sample web photography in assets/imagery/, and README, CREDITS, AGENTS.md and CLAUDE.md guides for coding agents.
