Point at the word and it opens. Every letter tips away on its own axis while a picture swings in from behind them, hinged on the same perspective the type sits in.

Overview

The word is not text on top of an image, it is a row of letters each holding its own rotation. Hovering flips them out of the way and the picture arrives on a hinge behind, so the reveal reads as one object turning rather than two layers crossfading. The image tracks the pointer with a lag you can set, which is what keeps it feeling attached to the cursor instead of snapping to it.
