Overview
Vigil is a production-ready landing concept built as a slow night walk: you approach a fourteenth-century gatehouse, pass under the arch, and the inner ward opens colder than the moor outside it. The castle is not a photograph — it is a live three.js scene of cut ashlar, cresset light and a high pale moon that keeps burning while you read. Five chapters unfold over Lenis smooth-scroll, each one a short essay on how the place was made: dressing the block square so the joint disappears, mixing a lime wash and an iron-gall ink that outlive the wall, letting a single ember decide the scale of everything around it. Materials load progressively — the gatehouse stands on procedural stone from the first frame and swaps in the PBR sets once they arrive, so a slow network costs you a slightly flatter wall, never a hole. Static HTML, CSS and JS with no build step: drop the folder on any host and it runs.
